CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? it is already time to begin thinking about Christmas pictures. 
i know.. i know.  it is sooooo STINKIN hot outside.. who wants to think about Christmas???

i noticed Hobby Lobby was trying to trick us by putting out the Christmas ornaments.. i actually laughed out loud the first day i saw them putting them out.. and thought to myself.. “do they think we will ‘feel’ cooler if we see Christmas ornaments???”  *pshaw*

for those readers not in Houston, we have been over 100 degrees often for a few weeks now.  it is INSANELY hot here.

anyway..

so i am finalizing my fall calendar..

i am doing things a bit differently this year.  we hope you will enjoy it.. i know we will..
i reluctantly say ‘we” because anyone who has shot with me in the last year has had my FABULOUS assistant Jenn tagging along… but i think Jenn will be opening the doors for her own photography biz this fall.. and taking on my overflow.. as well as all of the requests with pets for family pictures that i decline.  she LOVES animals.. and is looking forward to shooting families with their furry friends. 

so.. while i am not sure of ‘who’ the WE will entail.. i know they too will be mucho appreciative of not shooting every saturday AM and PM… because we are going to shoot multiple families on the same day. 
Jenn and i made the observation that last Christmas.. we were shooting all of the families in 45 minutes for Christmas pictures.  you only brought 1 outfit.. we got a good routine down on shooting family.. and we were so quick that we kept saying.. ‘gosh.. we should have had another family lined up for after this…’

well.. we decided to do just that.

so.. without any more verbage to bore you.. here is the plan:

Saturday Sept. 11
(rain out day Sept. 25)

we will be hosting our first day of family sessions. 

location will be the 2351 location.  we will hang some fun Christmas ornaments in the trees for one location.. as well as utilize the rustic fence and the tall trees for images.

details: sitting fee will be $150.00
                you will receive 48 press printed Christmas cards chosen from one of our templates.  additonal cards can be purchased in bundles of 24 for 50.00
                or.. in lieu of the Christmas cards, you can receive { 1 } full resolution digital negative with rights to reproduce for Christmas cards; as well as gift prints for Christmas presents. 

up to 5 participants allowed.. each additional person is 15.0o per family member
this is only available to immediate family members only.  extended family sessions are not permitted in these short time slots.

Saturday Oct. 9
(rain out day is Oct. 23)

location will be the Historical Homes of Houston.  we will have a small “charlie brown sized” Christmas tree available to use for some images.  they have beautiful old homes with large porches to shoot along.

i will be hosting another round of MINI sessions for Christmas as well…

however.. these will be for CHILDREN only.. no adults/family sessions. 

November 20

will be a BLUE/WHITE  winter theme for winter minis. 
winter clothes will be recommended.. long sleeves, sweaters, jackets, hats, etc.  i will have fake snow flakes.. so we dont want a tank top in the ‘snow”
cost: $40.00 for a 20 minute session.
up to 3 children allowed per 20 minute time slot.  if there are more than 3 children.. 2 – 20 minute time slots need to be purchased.

you will receive 1 – digital negative with rights to reproduce with your 40.00 sitting fee.  you will have the option to purchase additional prints at discounted rates as well.
we will start with opening up  Saturday.  if Saturday books, we will open Sunday. 

December 4

will be a traditional Christmas theme – red/green with a tree.
my red/green/white Christmas pettis/tops/bows will be available to wear for the traditional Christmas theme.

cost: $40.00 for a 20 minute session.
up to 3 children allowed per 20 minute time slot.  if there are more than 3 children.. 2 – 20 minute time slots need to be purchased.

you will receive 1 – digital negative with rights to reproduce with your 40.00 sitting fee.  you will have the option to purchase additional prints at discounted rates as well.
we will start with opening up  Saturday.  if Saturday books, we will open Sunday.
