I’m Jaxon the sailor man.
roll on my tummy, I can!
when i stretch in the morning,
I toot without warning…
I’m Jaxon the sailor man!
                             TOOT! TOOT!

or…. alternative ending…

When I sit up straight, I regurgitate… I’m Jaxon the sailor man!  BARF! BARF!

we were a little torn on which ending..

lyrics by Michael

… m’eh.. he just came up with another one..
“I’ll scream and I’ll grunt, until I get what I want…..
I’m Jaxon the sailor man!”

this picture cracks me up.. i love catching mid blinks.  soooo funny.

why, yes!  i do actually have 9 completed sessions that i SHOULD blog about first..
but.. i have this really cute kid.. and i have a dad far far away who hasnt seen him since he was about a week old.. and i actually took pictures of my cute kid.. so i want to blog him for my dad first.

prepare to say “AWWWWWW……..” because my friends, he is JUST THAT CUTE!
i love my little man.. and i love all that he does.  he is sooo much fun.

he is quite obsessed with his toes.  any time he is on his back.. he is playing with them.. and i personally think it is one of the cutest things you will ever see.

check out his tongue.. trying sooo hard to get to them.

his eyes are still blue.. but i am not keeping hopes that they will stay.  ashton’s turned around age 2.. so i suspect his will eventually as well.

he still does my favorite thing ever with his little toes though.. wrapping them around his other toes.  it is soo stinkin cute.

a friend of a friend loaned us lots of baby stuff.. he particularly loves this little gym.  it sits by my computer as i edit all day long.  now that our house is on the market.. i have to keep it up..
he isnt loving the one toy and carpet he is currently lying on.

houston, we have a finger sucker.  he isnt entirely sure it wont be the thumb yet.. because it still helps him get to sleep at times.. but the two finger method is a popular one.

and.. we are practicing sitting up.  these pictures are a couple of weeks old.. (yes, i am a blog slacker).. but he can sit up MUCH better now.  obviously he cannot pull himself to a sitting position.. but mommy sits him up and she sits on the floor with him.. and encourages him to strengthen those back muscles so that he will soon be sitting unassisted all of the time.
as SOON as he is sitting unassisted.. we are ditching that carry around car seat that has my poor shoulder thrown all out of whack due to the weight and awkwardness of it.. i am soo ready for him to be in an upright reverse carseat.

here he is talking.  he loves to coo.. a LOT.  and squeal.  he is really loud.

and to end it.. this sweet smile that just melts my heart.  it doesnt get any cuter than this folks!  i am officially in love with a little man named Jax.

where am i?

yes, i know it is as though i dropped off the face of the earth on this blog.  but.. i am here.. trying to keep my head above water.

we decided to put our house on the market.. so we have been working our hineys off.. getting it ready for the market.  painting, decluttering, rearranging, etc.

then, there are the 4-6 photoshoots i have been doing each week to try and fit everyone in before my month long hiatus i take in June.  (no photography in June.. it is reserved for my kiddos.)

and i am attempting to get all of these sessions edited in a decent amount of time.. and failing at it.

so, that is why i am not blogging much.

blogging takes a while.. i have to resize the pictures, upload them.. then bring them over to my blog.. and write.  it takes at least half an hour to blog each day.  and unfortunately.. a half hour is important right now.

so, i will eventually catch up.  i have so many amazing sessions to share with you guys.

if you are a member of my facebook fan page.. i have posted many sneak peeks over there.. (that takes like.. 2 minutes.. so it is just easier…)

i will leave you guys with a couple of CUTE jax videos.

soo.. i did it.

ashton has been getting teased for awhile now about his hair length.  kids at school and soccer telling him he looks like a girl.

at first, he didnt care.  it didnt bother him because he loved his hair.  apparently, they have finally started to annoy him.. and he was beginning to get a little sensitive about it.

then, he started asking for a mohawk.  now, i dont know if any of you remember the LAST TIME he asked me to cut his hair.   well.. i was so upset by the whole ordeal, that i havent cut his hair in nearly 2 years.  i have trimmed it up here and there, but nothing major that would upset him like that again.

well, after a week of him begging to cut his hair.. i told him to wait until after thursday.  they had kindergarden graduation pictures on thursday.. and being as he went the ENTIRE year with long hair.. i thought the pictures should reflect that as well.

yesterday.. he had his graduation pictures done and immediately upon coming home from school, he began asking when i was going to cut his hair!! i tried all after noon to ignore it.. and then finally agreed to do it after soccer.

michael pulled up a guy from the real world that he wanted me to cut his hair like.  apparently the night before, when he couldnt sleep.. he watched it and realized he liked that guys hair.

so, not being a great haircutter.. i agreed to ATTEMPT to cut it like that.  i didnt even know how to approach it.. LOL  but, all in all, i like how it turned out.. and he LOVES it.  no crying this time.  so, whew!

he was sooo anxious for all of his friends to see him at school today.  i hope he got a good response.

michael wants his hair cut like this now.  LOL

and a few more random snaps i took of it this morning.

oh, and the baby is dressed.  i just dont have the onesie snapped.

i keep the onesies open for nightime changings in my half asleep state.

my lil guy looks so rad.  :)

first, please view this video.  a few times.  :)
and send it on to as many people as you think have a few minutes to spare!

this is one of my clients, Jordan.  i took promo shots for his band rivenside recently, and i will be shooting his senior portraits soon.  yes, he is a high school junior right now.. and he is just plain awesome.  he has an incredible gift from the Lord with his fabulous voice, and he uses it to serve the Lord through worship songs.  isnt that just plain amazing?

his voice lesson coach just found a contest that could have him sing in washington and at an Orioles game, but he is about 5 weeks late to the contest.. so he needs everyone help.  unfortunately, the finalists are chosen via popularity on youtube.. so please view his video on youtube and leave favorable comments if you have an account.

am i begging here for a contest?? you betcha!  he is such an incredible kid, he truly deserves this opportunity!

check out his myspace as well, linked above.  he sings about his heart for the Lord, and it is beautiful.  i listen to his music often as i sit and edit!

lets see if we can get him into the finalist category!

now, on to the bluebonnets.  i have done a few sessions in this field down the road.  this sweet, elderly gentleman is so kind to grow these in his front yard… right here in the city for us to use as a backdrop to photograph our kidlets on.  i didnt have time to drive into austin or brenham this year, so i totally utilized his property.  it is fantastic!

here you are dad, recent pics of the kiddos!
