i wanted to let everyone know what the plan was for summer minis so that you can decide which ones you will want to do ahead of time.
i don’t want to overwhelm everyone by posting a new one each week.. then everyone’s husbands hate me because you sign up for all of them. 

this way.. you can plan accordingly!

6/25 and 6/26
there will be a limited number of spots available for white on white family mini sessions.
they will be 45 minute sessions for up to 5 people.

6/28
will be regular 20 minute sessions for white on white; children only.
this i sa good opportunity to bring your little one in for their summer sport picture..
a solid, clean, white background to make the colors of their team jersey pop.  bring in any balls/items related to the sport and we will incorporate them into the image.
this is also when i will pull out my july 4th pettiskirts.
i will have flags on hand and other red/white/blue goodies to decorate the set with quickly.
you will need to provide your own july 4th tank top or shirt with the pettis.

6/30
candy shop set up.
those on my personal FB got to see a sneak peek of the set up from last saturday.
many people really liked it.. so i plan to offer it as a mini session.

i don’t think i will use the same blue background.. i think i will use the silver diamond tuft and let the pom poms, candy and garland be the colorful element.

it will be super cute, with lots of jars full of candy and a LOT of color.

7/1
will be 2 different set ups to choose from.
1 will be the vintage angel series from February that was so popular.
it will be identical to the previous session, so if you loved it.. now is the time to get your littles picture taken with the beautiful wings.

the other set up will be a vintage theme as well,
i have purchased a vintage damask cream/ blue background for this session and will have newsboy caps, ties and other vintage paraphenalia available for the session.  suitcases, cameras, etc.

this will be the alternative background for the vintage session.  it will go great with the matilda jane clothes, as well as vintage clothing for boys.

7/7
again, 2 set ups..
an ice cream shop and a lemonade stand.  the backgrounds for these 2 are super whimsical.  im really excited about these.

the hopscotch will be the floor for the ice cream cart.

the grass floor will be the floor for the lemonade stand.

7/21
summer fun mini,
beach setting, bring your swimsuit or favorite summer outfit for this session.  don’t forget the sunglasses!
will have a little pool, umbrella, beach ball, and hula hoop for this session.  it will be really fun.. and similar to my season of growth sets.

this will not be the exact  set.. but it will be fun and ‘scrapbooked’ like this..

7/19, 7/22, and 7/23 will be reserved for summer fairies.
only those signed up for the series in January are eligible for this set.

8/4
watermelon minis
i have no images to show for this since it will be our first year to do watermelons.. but it will be fun!

8/9 will be a day of minis too.
don’t know what right now.. but holding off to see if any of these have a wait list and i need to repeat a session.

8/11 will be a box series.
if you have been in the studio the last 6 months.. you have seen the giant wooden boxes that has been holding prints ready for pick up…
i have always had a plan for them.. we will finally use them.
we will put together a collage of your littles having crazy fun in the boxes.
it will be true to my fun sessions.. lots of laughs and all kinds of silliness.

okay, so this one is not a winter fairy.. but it was one of my girl that i loved.. so i thought i would throw it in too..   ha… made ya look at one more pic of my beautiful girl! 

but.. this is the winter fairy set up.  as excited as i am about these pictures… i cannot WAIT for the spring fairy and the autumn fairy.  they are going to have such beautiful colors.. that i am just giddy about it.

each fairy season will take place in a forest setting, with seasonal appropriate flowers/snow/leaves to portray that season.

older girls will wear tutu’s again.. with the digital wings put in place.

little girls can either wear the tutu’s, or the selection of smaller fairy costumes i have been slowly collecting..

hope you love them.. as much as i do!!

remember.. if you arent interested in the fairies.. stay tuned.  later this week.. i will have the season of growth set up as well.. it too will be boring for winter though.. no color.. so you will incorporate color into the clothing.. however.. the spring/summer and fall are going to be awesome.  i wish we didnt start in such dreary weather.

just wanted to give everyone a heads up that fairies are now available for booking.. as well as the season of growth series.

winter fairies and SOG are now available for booking. we are beginning with just a Friday and Sunday. if we have a need, we will open monday up as well.
the setup will begin construction on Tuesday.. as soon as the vintage valentines are done. i will post pics of …Chloye in the setup the following day for anyone who is holding out to see what it is….

valentine minis are here.  yea!!!!

im super excited.. and i hope you guys are too.

As with all mini”s, up to 2 children allowed per sitting.  anything over 2 needs to book 2 back to back slots.  you will receive the incentive for each time slot purchased.
children only, no adults in mini sessions.
children must be able to sit unassisted to attend a mini session.  6months – 18 years old.

we are doing 2 segments of minis this year for valentine’s day.  1 set will be the same as last year, for those who did them then.. and the other set is a new set.

week 1, January 14, 16 and 17
will be the traditional Valentine minis.  the black damask and the pink tufted background.
storyboards will be available again, and with your 40.00, you will have the option to get 40 2×3.5 valentine cards for your children to pass out OR the traditional package of {1}8×10 and {2}5×7 of (1) image.  you get to choose which option.

week 2, January 21, 23 and 24
will be the vintage valentine set.  a traditional brown muslin with the angel wings/tutu’s for girls.  boys are suggested to wear button up shirts, ties/vests, dress jackets and hats.  i have a small selection of ties to keep here, Ashton’s hat and vest pictured are available and i have a few newsboy caps in brown/white that are made available.  i unfortunately do not have a full selection of boys wear for every child size.  i am going to try hitting up some thrift stores to see if i can find any additional vests.  you will definitely need to bring your own button up shirt. girls will need to bring their own solid color tank top.  all of mine are mostly decorated, so i dont have a lot of the plain tanks.  any plain tank top will work in either soft pink, brown, white, or ivory.  keep it neutral.

you get to choose between the two options for this background as well, either 40 cards, OR the traditional package of {1}8×10 and {2}5×7 of (1) image.

all images from this session will receive the vintage overlay treatment such as this

so, there you have it folks.  2 POLAR opposite themes to choose from.  hope you all love them as much as i do!

i want to take a minute to quickly explain a few things to come for 2011.  i want you guys to get as excited as i am!!!!

and to read through your options to determine what will best suit your needs for the coming year.

first off, senior sessions:

i will be offering senior sessions during the school day this year.  i had so many skip school last year for their senior portraits.. that it made me realize this is an option to fit more of you in!  so, we can plan for senior sessions during the school day.  shhhh… just dont tell your teacher!!!

mini session/petti parties in studio.  i will be offering a few of these in jan/feb/mar.. but the majority of my petti parties will take place over the summer while it is really too hot to be outdoors.

sunflower mini’s, i have been GRACIOUSLY given permission to plant and shoot sunflowers at a very cool place this summer.  i will announce it later, once they are in full bloom.. but this summer will have lots of sunflower minis during the weekday evenings.

angel series LE’s.  i am going to start offering angel series,  during the summer only.. this will be a fun tradition to begin with your little ones to see the growth they have each year in our angel portraits.

i will offer many studio family sessions over the summer as well.  if you like the look of traditional studio family portraits.. we will be doing a lot of them over the summer.

we will also be offering a FUN studio take on family portraits over the summer for those that dont want to brave the heat.. but dont like traditional studio portraits.  they are definitely out of the box thinking on studio portraits.

some new things HS is offering.  LIMITED EDITIONS for the first time.  these have me really excited.  i will be offering a few different things that i will only offer at certain times.

beginning with a couple of series i am going to showcase.  we will be doing a SEASONAL fairy theme.  we will begin with a winter fairy, and have a spring fairy, a summer fairy and a fall fairy session.  at the end, you will receive a square collage with an image from each session.. showcasing a year of growth in your little fairy.

for those not interested in a fairy collection.. we will also be doing a series i am naming a season of growth.. where we will use paper to simulate the seasons.. and again.. end with a collage showcasing the growth of your child through th seasons.  i am SUPER excited about this.. simply because i want to do this with my own children.

another fun thing i am offering.. HomeShade Quick Takes (HSQT’s).  basically.. an outdoor mini session for milestones and updated pics, giving you a Cd of images at a much more discounted rate than normal.  again… all details will be unveiled with the new pricing.

there will of course be the valentine mini’s coming up, as well as the Easter minis, and of course full sessions.  the thing changing with full sessions will be that there are now  minimum order requirements to book full sessions.  pricing is really going to increase.. just the commitment level when booking.
